Middlesbrough are interested in Cadiz wide man Alvaro Garcia, reports Canal Sur Radio.
The 24-year-old, who initially joined Cadiz on loan from Granada before signing for them permanently in July, has impressed over the past two seasons.
According to Canal Sur Radio, Middlesbrough are keen to bring him to Teeside.
Garcia’s buyout clause is set at €6m.
It is claimed that Boro have spoken to Garcia’s agent but Cadiz sporting director Juan Carlos Cordero says there has been no contact from the Teessiders through official channels.
“Cadiz not has maintained any type of contact with Middlesbrough over Alvaro Garcia,” he said. “We are not a selling club.”
