Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has revealed that he wants to remain at Old Trafford, despite reports linking him with a move away from the club .

Darmian has been restricted to just nine appearances this season and it had been reported that Juventus were considering a move for him in January or the summer

However, Darmian has been a regular starter in the league in recent weeks, and he has insisted that he has no plans to leave a club which he describes as “one of the biggest in the world”.

Darmian while speaking to ESPN said:

“I play for one of the biggest clubs in the world so I’m happy. I listen and read about the transfer but I don’t know anything. At the moment, nothing is true. I will continue to do my job and want to stay here.

“I’m a natural right-back but playing on the left is not a big problem. I’ve been at left-back the last few matches and I feel comfortable in that position.”

Manchester United paid Italian side Torino a fee of £12.7m to sign Darmian in July 2015.
