Mario Balotelli has held talks over a possible return to the Premier League, according to the Italian’s agent Mino Raiola.
Balotelli has impressed since joining Ligue 1 club Nice on a free transfer from Liverpool earlier this year and Raiola says the former Manchester City striker has now attracted interest from other English clubs.
“We’ve already had talks with English clubs, but it’s really too early to say. We want to keep it day-by-day with Mario,” Raiola told talkSPORT.
“For Mario I always knew it [his return to form] will come. He was in his last year at Liverpool and he was very stable and not so emotional any more.”
“I still think it’s a shame that Klopp didn’t give him a fair chance, but Mario is proving to himself, more than to others, what he can do.”
Mario Balotelli scored 20 goals in 54 appearances during a turbulent spell that saw flashes of brilliance dampened by erratic behaviour off the pitch.
A training ground bust-up with Roberto Mancini proved the final nail in the coffin before he was sold to AC Milan in 2013.
But he spent just 18 months away, returning to the Premier League in an £18m move to Liverpool that raised more than a few eyebrows.
