Injury season? Los Angeles Lakers have announced that starting guard Nick Young will be out for at least four weeks with a strained right calf muscle.
The team made the announcement in advance of their clash against the Chicago Bulls.
The 31-year-old Lakers man sustained the injury on Tuesday in the Los Angeles franchise’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
The shooting guard, who can also play small forward is averaging 13.3 points for the Lakers and has been one of the team’s biggest surprises after two tumultuous seasons under ex-Lakers head coach Byron Scott.
With Young out, the Lakers will be missing their starting backcourt, as Lakers point guard D’Angelo Russell is also sidelined with a sore left knee.
