Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has agreed to hold talks with Coventry over their vacant manager’s job
Hasselbaink was sacked by QPR last month, less than a year into the job, having won just 13 of his 47 matches in charge.
Mark Venus has been carrying out the interim manager’s role at Coventry since Tony Mowbray left the job in September following a poor start to the season.
Coventry lie 21st in League One, having lost their last five league games.
On Thursday they welcome high-flying Sheffield United to the Ricoh Arena.
Earlier this year, Hasselbaink was filmed as part of a Daily Telegraph investigation alleging corruption in football, apparently negotiating a fee to travel to Singapore to speak to a fake Far East firm.
QPR stood by him, saying a lack of evidence from the newspaper ended their investigation.
And last month it was revealed he wanted to demolish his Surrey mansion and rebuild one with a trophy room — despite only ever winning ONE gong.
