MUSON (The Musical Society of Nigeria) presents Friday Nite Live featuring renowned poet, Dike Chukwumerije’s MADE IN NIGERIA: A Spoken word/Theatre production!
This event scheduled to hold on Friday, the 16th of December, 2016 at the MUSON was first experienced in Abuja as an Independence Day concept in October this year and is still gathering rave reviews.
‘MADE IN NIGERIA’ is a fusion of theatre, comedy and spoken word, expressed through riveting performances. This Poetry-For-Theatre production is put together by respected poet, Dike Chukwumerije, to commemorate the 56th anniversary of Nigeria’s independence comprising 20 theatrical poems, thematically linked and seamlessly connected by narration, music, dance and drama in 120 minutes; the story of key moments in our 102 year history as Nigerians.
In his words “It is History, but it will not bore you. It is Drama, but will you notice? It is Music... The sort that will have you singing. It is Fashion, like a thread running through the tapestry. It is Art. It is Dancing. It is the imaginative use of Space and Time. It is 102 years of Shared Stories, and at the end you will not believe you just heard it told through 20 poems, in 120 minutes, on one stage, in one night. This is what MADE IN NIGERIA is.” GET READY TO BE BLOWN AWAY!!!
