Carlo Ancelotti is looking at the 1-0 UCL triumph over Atletico Madrid, as a source of confidence boost for Bayern Munich.
Consistency has been a problem for Bayern, as they finished the group in second place and are also second in the bundesliga, three points behind RB Leipzig.
And even though the victory over Atletico changes nothing, the former Madrid manager was happy to have beaten a side like the colchoneros.
“We played well, had a lot of possession and prevented counter-attacks,” he said.
“We had defensive balance in this game. The result isn’t important, but it gives us a lot of confidence for the coming games,” he added, with a home fixture against Wolfsburg in the league coming up on Saturday.
