Everton will double their efforts to sign Memphis Depay from Manchester United following Yannick Bolasie’s long-term knee injury.
According to The Sun, Ronald Koeman wants to bring Depay to Goodison Park with Bolasie sidelined for up to 12 months.
Koeman was linked with Depay while Southampton boss, but the Dutch international opted for Old Trafford over St Mary’s at the time.
Depay would be a natural replacement for Bolasie on Everton’s left flank.
Depay, 22, has disappointed massively since his £25million transfer from PSV Eindhoven 18 months ago and is the only member of United’s senior squad to have started just one game this season.
Everton have also had a £12million bid turned down for out-of- favour Napoli striker Gabbiadini.
