Zlatan Ibrahimovic has talked up reported Manchester United target Victor Lindelof, saying he is ready to join a “big club”.
The 22-year-old Sweden international has apparently attracted interest from United and Chelsea.
And Ibrahimovic said: “Victor is doing great things. He has a lot of responsibility for the national team.
“He is ready for the big clubs out there, it’s up to him and what he wants. I know he’s hot on the market.”
Lindelhof signed a new deal with Benfica last summer
Lindelof joined Benfica from Vasteras SK in 2012 and initially represented the Portuguese side’s B team, before stepping into the first-team picture in 2015. Last summer, the Sweden international extended his contract with the Portuguese giants until the summer of 2020.
“There are always so many rumours going around, but I am very happy to play for Benfica and I have the opportunity to play in every game, which is very important for a player of my age. I am now only focused on the present and I want to stay here at Benfica for a long time,” Lindelof told Portuguese publication A Bola.
