In keeping with the vision of integrating Nigerians and fostering mutual co-existence among the various ethnic, religious and political groups, Integration Summit Group-Nigeria (ISG-N), a coalition of youths projecting the Nigerian dream, is set to hold its National Integration Round-table on November 12th in Portharcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Addressing journalists in Portharcourt, on the level of preparedness for a successful summit, Dr Chris Ekiyor, the Convener of ISG-N, said the group has been consistent in its mandate of advocating for the unity of the country where every citizen will own the Nation regardless of state or ethnic origin.
“I wish for that day in our nation’s history, when an Emeka Okonkwo will contest and win elective position in Adamawa State, an Adamu Musa winnng in Oyo State or an Opeyemi Bamidele winning an election in Ebonyi State. This can only be possible when we see ourselves as one family with same background. At ISG-N, we have resolved to put Nigeria First before others. Nigeria is a great Nation; we have a duty to uphold its unity and integrity.”
The summit, under the Chairmanship of Maj.Gen. S.A Audu (Rtd) with two State Governors, Delta and Adamawa States, as keynote speakers and an erudite professor from University of Portharcourt as Guest Speaker, will hold on Saturday November 12th 2016 from 10 am at the Autograph, 30/33 Sani Abacha Rd, GRA phase 3, Portharcourt.
Arrangements have been concluded for a hitch-free summit while Delegates from the six geo-political zones of the country as well as friends of Nigeria in Diaspora and other dignitaries are expected at the event with the theme; Broad Nationalism, A tool for National Integration.
