Policemen Protest In Ondo Over Unpaid Allowance

Quite a number of officers of the Nigerian Police Force, deployed to Ondo state, have gone on rampage in the state as they are protesting the non-payment of their allowance for Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

The Punch gathered that the policemen took to Fagun street in droves, chanting war songs, as they spoke against the way they were treated after the governorship election.

Attempts made to speak with the protesting officers proved abortive as they beat up journalists who tried to speak with them and residents who made attempts to take their photographs.
