Oliver Torres is focused on Porto and not thinking about a possible return to parent club Atletico Madrid.

The highly-rated midfielder has impressed on loan in Portugal this season and is currently on international duty with Spain U21s.

He told Onda Cero: “I’m not thinking about a return right now. I don’t know what will happen.

“I’m very happy at FC Porto. I’m only thinking about learning, growing as a player and enjoying this experience.”

“Whatever has to happen will happen.”

FC Porto have an option to buy Torres for €20 million once his loan deal expires in December 2017.

Torres, who is under contract with Atletico until June 2018, started in just 14 games in all competitions for Atletico in the 2015-16 campaign and left the Rojiblancos this summer in search of more playing time.

“It’s not easy to succeed in La Liga when you are young,” Torres said. “Each player has his progression, his time.

“I have to continue to grow and gain experience.”

He returned to Porto for a second spell on loan having enjoyed a strong 2014-15 with the Portuguese giants, starting 28 games for them to help the Dragoes finish runners-up behind Benfica in the Primeira Liga.
