Sunderland manager, David Moyes has admitted to a misconduct charge and has been subsequently handed a one-match touchline ban by the Football Association (FA).
The former Everton manager was sent to the stands in the closing stages of his side’s 1-0 EFL cup loss to Southampton on October 26.
The FA subsequently charged the Scot with directing “abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official”.
The suspension will see him miss Sunderland’s match against Bournemouth, as they go in search of their first EPL win on Saturday.
However, he will return for the crunch clash with fellow strugglers Hull City at the Stadium of Light on November 19.
