Marvel Television, a unit of Marvel Entertainment has officially announced that an Inhumans TV series is coming to ABC in 2017.

The series will premiere in IMAX theaters, this will be the first time a live-action TV series has debuted in such a format. The first two episodes of the series, will run worldwide exclusively in IMAX for two weeks at the beginning of September 2017 and then ABC will premiere the series in a weekly format.

This announcement comes a couple days after Marvel president Kevin Feige suggested that the Inhumans movie was still possibly in the works, even though months earlier it had been pulled out of Marvel’s movie schedule. It seemed like Marvel didn’t know what direction they wanted to go regarding an Inhumans movie but now that this series has been announced we can only wait and see.

We don’t know if this new Inhumans show will have a connection with the Inhumans story being told in fellow Marvel TV show, Agents Of Shield. Agents of Shield introduced a group of Inhumans who had also gone through Terrigenesis in season 2 of the show and the Inhumans have been a part of the show since then OR Marvel will choose to go with the original story and bring Black Bolt and the rest of the Inhuman royal family to our screens.

Black Bolt

Yet another reason to look forward to the 2017, now we wait.
