Stale Solbakken is not a fan of the Championship.
The FC Copenhagen boss spent six months in charge at Wolves in 2012/13 and, judging by comments made ahead of the Champions League match with Leicester tonight, he does not fancy returning.
“If you are so stupid to take a job there then you have to take the blame. I wouldn’t have done it again,” he said.
“It’s a difficult league to manage in. When the crowd are managing many of the games, they want to see chances.
“I have seen so many brainless Championship games, both live and on the bench.”
The Norwegian took charge of just 30 games before being axed in January 2013 but believes his time at Molineux now looks nowhere near as bad in retrospect.
“I think I managed there for longer than the last four bosses. I am getting better and better every week, maybe I wasn’t that bad at all!” joked Solbakken, who is now boss of FC Copenhagen.
His successor at Molineux, Dean Saunders, lasted just 20 games, while Wolves are searching for another new boss following Walter Zenga’s dismissal last week, after just 17 games in charge..
