The NBA championship holders Cleveland Cavaliers are setting records in the league, they’ve now racked up 20 3-pointers in consecutive regular season games.
In the 137 points rout against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday, they racked up 21 from beyond the arc and got 20 in the 128-90 thrashing of the Mavericks.
Prior to the record set by Cavaliers, there has only been 25 games in league history, where 20 or more 3-pointers have been scored.
The Golden State Warriors had seven games last season where they scored that many three pointers, but they didn’t do it back-to-back.
The Cavs had consecutive 20 3-pointer games against the Atlanta Hawks last season in the playoffs, making a combined 46 in Games 2 and 3 of their 4-0 series sweep.
The Cavs have now recorded 10 or more 3-pointers in 14 consecutive games. They have made at least seven 3-pointers in 54 straight games dating to last season, an NBA record.
