Beram Kayal has signed a new two-and-a-half-year contract with Sky Bet Championship club Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 28-year-old Israel international, who is recovering from an ankle injury, will remain at the Amex Stadium until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Voted the club’s player of the season last year, the midfielder has scored three goals for the Seagulls in his 72 appearances since joining from Celtic in January 2015
Albion boss Chris Hughton said: “He thoroughly deserves it; he had an outstanding season for us last year, and was a key player for us. He is a great professional, and an important member of the team, on and off the pitch.”

Kayal was Hughton’s first signing and was key in his 46 appearances to help the Seagulls reach the play-offs last season and narrowly miss out on automatic promotion.
