Benfica youngster Goncalo Guedes is not planning to leave the club in January.
Goncalo Guedes, 19, has been linked with several top European sides, including Manchester United and Arsenal.
Guedes is under contract with the Portuguese outfit until 2021 and his current deal is understood to have a buyout clause of £52m.
But he wants to stay at the Estadio da Luz, saying: I’m not thinking about leaving in January. Benfica are the club of my heart and I’m focused on playing for them.”
“All games are important, we want to win the three points but we know that the Champions League is a very demanding competition.”
Guedes, who was recently named as a Golden Boy nominee, has been in fine form for Benfica this season.
The Portuguese sensation netted in Benfica’s 3-0 win over Pacos Ferreira on Friday to send them five points clear of rivals Porto at the top of the Primeira Liga.
