Former Republic of Ireland international Robbie Keane has emerged as a transfer target for Brisbane Roar.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Keane would leave Los Angeles Galaxy and a number of clubs around the world were soon linked with the 36-year-old’s signature.
A possible destination for Keane is the A-League in Australia and Brisbane Roar managing director Mark Kingsman has confirmed that his side will bid to sign the forward.
Kingsman told The Age: “When you’ve got somebody of Robbie Keane’s calibre and pedigree, I’m sure every A-League club would be interested. We haven’t made an approach yet (but) we will make the call.”
Keane has also been linked with clubs in Ireland, England, China and other teams in the MLS.
