EFCC Releases Ex-Presidential Spokesperson, Abati

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has released a former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati.

Abati confirmed to newsmen in Abuja that he was released around 8pm on Friday, November 4, 2016.

The former spokesperson also averred that his bail has been processed and the paper work will be completed by Monday.

Abati was apprehended on October 21, after he had reported himself at the anti-graft office following a notice by the agency that he was being sought as an alleged beneficiary of fraud.

He was subsequently accused of collecting N50 million from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
