2016 National Art Competition Grand Finale

African Artists’ Foundation cordially invites you to the 9th Annual National Art Competition.

This year’s theme, “SHIFTING BOUNDARIES” is an exploration of the porous, situational and ever changing concept of the boundary through artworks that will discuss and embody what a boundary was, is, and will become in the 21st century.

The twelve finalists of the National Art Competition are: Ayinla Olajumoke, Black Fart, Sadiq Williams, Joseph Obochi, Jonathan Okewu, Kadara Enyeasi, Elizabeth Ofili, Atonye Lamie, Esekhalu Funke, Evangeline Erasmus, Izuchukwu Muoneme,Uzoji Godwin.

A judging panel of distinguished arts professionals, led Professional Photographer George Oshodi will deliberate and select the final three winners.

The prizes to be won are as follows:

  • Overall Winner: Two Million Naira+ Solo Exhibition at African Artists’ Foundation
  • Winner: Outstanding Concept: One Million Naira
  • Winner: Outstanding Production: One Million Naira

Date: Thursday, 1st of December, 2016.

Venue: African Artists’ Foundation, 3b Isiola Oyekan Close, Off Adeleke Adedoyin street, Off Kofo Abayomi, Victoria Island, Lagos.
