Tottenham have held a meeting with the representatives of Corinthians full-back Guilherme Arana, reports Todomercadoweb.es.
Spurs are interested in the Brazilian, 19, and met with the left back’s agents on Tuesday.
According to the Spanish website, Spurs are keen to ramp up negotiations in order to remain ahead of the teenager’s other suitors.
Spurs have two international left backs in their ranks with Danny Rose and Ben Davies competing for first-team football at White Hart Lane, but manager Mauricio Pochettino may yet want to bring in a younger left back to develop.
Arana, 19, has come up through the ranks with Corinthians having joined them way back in 2005, and has now made 26 appearances for the Brazilian giants, whilst he also spent time out on loan at Atletico Paranaense in 2015.
