Thibaut Courtois has revealed that manager Antonio Conte’s training methods with Chelsea are ‘sometimes boring’
The former Italy boss took over at Stamford Bridge in the summer and is known for being a strict disciplinarian.
And while Courtois insists the team are on board with the Italian’s mentality, he concedes that the focus on tactics is occasionally tiresome.
‘Different managers have different ways of working,’ the Belgium international told Chelsea TV.
‘In terms of food, drinks and everything, he put a new regime in place.
‘In training, he wanted to put his mark on the group immediately, with videos to see how we would have to train and tactically what to do.
‘We have worked on that a lot and, maybe, that is sometimes boring – but it’s important to know how to do these things.
‘Everyone gets on board as he is the new manager.
‘You listen to him because he is the boss and he paves the way for us.’
