Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly set to make a £20m move as he looks to sign Cesc Fabregas in January from Chelsea.
The 29-year-old has struggled for playing time under Antonio Conte so far this season, making just six appearances in all competitions.
Guardiola bought Fabregas for Barcelona from Arsenal in 2011 for £35m. He scored 20 goals and contributed to Barca’s success in winning four trophies that season.
Fabregas is out of favour with Antonio Conte and has played just 87 minutes in the Premier League this season.
The former Barcelona midfielder also rejected moves to AC Milan and Juventus in the summer.
Guardiola is reportedly looking to bolster his midfield options as he’s unhappy with Fernandinho’s performances for City this term.
Chelsea signed Fabregas from Barcelona for £30 million in June 2014.
