Frank De Boer is running out of time to save his job at Inter Milan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy.
The Dutchman only took charge in the summer but Inter’s 2-1 defeat to Atalanta on Sunday has left them languishing in 14th in the Serie A table.
The paper claims he may get a last chance to salvage his position when Inter face Torino in midweek, otherwise the club’s chiefs will make a change.
Stefano Pioli, Andrea Mandorlini, Francesco Guidolin, Laurent Blanc, Leonardo and Marco Silva are reportedly options should De Boer depart.
De Boer was interviewed by Sky in Bergamo and asked point-blank if he believed he’d still be on the bench on Wednesday. His reply was “I don’t know.”
However, Calciomercato.com insist a series of conference calls are taking place tonight between the Italian and Chinese directors, so a decision could be made before then.
President Erick Thohir and CEO Michael Bolingbroke support De Boer whereas the Suning Group and director Piero Ausilio are not convinced.
