ICYMI: 30-Man Shortlist For Ballon d’Or

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale leads the list for the 30-man Ballon d’Or shortlist. With Mahrez, Pogba, Lloris and Vardy also shortlisted for the prestigious award.

The premier league also boasts the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Manchester City duo, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero.

Real Madrid have Bale, Ronaldo, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric also made the lost. Higuain, Dybala and Buffon represent Juventus on the list. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the only Dortmund player shortlisted for the award.

Atletico has Godin, Koke and Griezmann on the list. Bayern Munich has four players in Manuel Neuer, Lewandowski, Vidal and Muller. Sporting Lisbon and Portugal goalie Rui Patricio also made the list.

This year’s edition of the prestigious individual prize will be judged solely by a panel of journalists after FIFA and France Football ended their partnership.

Between 2010 and 2015, FIFA’s World Player of the Year award had been combined with the Ballon d’Or to create the FIFA Ballon d’Or, which was decided by a combination of votes from national team managers, captains and journalists.
