Wales forward, Gareth Bale has inked a new deal with Real Madrid that will keep him with the capital club till 2022.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward joined the club in a record-breaking switch in the summer of 2013.
He has made over 130 appearances for the Los Blancos since the switch, scoring 62 goals so far, with 50 of those in the LaLiga.
Bale’s exploits have also seen him help Real to a number of major honours, including two Champions League crowns and the 2013/14 Copa del Rey.
The 27-year-old will hope there are many more to come, having committed his long-term future to the Spanish giants.
A short statement released on Real’s official website read: “Real Madrid CF and Gareth Bale have agreed to the extension of the player’s contract, which is linked to the club until 30 June 2022.”
