Bayern Munich have dealt Manchester City a fresh blow by warning Pep Guardiola to forget about signing David Alaba, according to the Mirror.
The Sky Blues boss has hopes of luring the Austria left-back, 24, who is rated at £40million, away from his former club.
But Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insisted: “There is no truth in the rumours about David Alaba going to Manchester City.
“He recently extended his contract with us until 2021. Every big European club knows what that means with Bayern.”
“That is to say that we are completely relaxed about his situation. His departure is not on the agenda at all.”
Bayern coach and ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti added: “I have lots of confidence in David. I think he can become even better.”
