Keane said he “wouldn’t like to mess with” Guardiola after some of the tough decisions he’s made in a perfect start at Manchester City
Speaking on ITV following Man City’s impressive 4-0 performance against Borussia Moenchengladbach, Keane hailed the new Spanish manager’s influence so soon at the Etihad.
Keane says he admires Guardiola’s bold decisions to decide strong characters in the club such as Joe Hart and Yaya Toure weren’t part of his plans and act on it
“He said he’s a challenging coach – doesn’t look like he messes about,” he added.
“I wouldn’t like to mess with him.
“Two coaches in Manchester. Mourinho reckons he’s the special one, to me this guy is.”
It’s not all good news for Guardiola, whose side has the only perfect Premier League record of four wins from four matches so far this season, with history not proving kind. But that could all change, says Keane.
“We’ve seen City have good stats before and they take their foot off the gas a little bit, but I don’t think it will happen under this guy.”
