#ProjectFame9.0 Academy Day 58: Contestants Refine Popular Songs

share on:

The contestants all but know that they have to give their all and creative best if they are to emerge the best in the competition and that’s what they all but did with their personal compositions and popular songs which they gave a personal flavour to.

The 58th day in the #ProjectFame9.0 academy commenced with a visit by the contestants to The Beat FM 99.9. Presenters Olisa Adibua and Maria Okan told listeners that they will probably be listening to the contestants for the last time as the final six before one of them emerges winner of #ProjectFame9.0.

The final six contestants gave a recap of their last performances by singing snippets from their performances which delighted the presenters and listeners of the show.

After entertaining the presenters and listeners, the contestants went on to plead for votes from viewers and listeners in hope that that they can emerge the winner of the show’s season 9. The contestants signed off from The Beat FM studios with a song they specially composed for the radio station.

Back to the academy, it was time for Uncle Ben’s class and the contestants generally impressed with their personal compositions and the songs they were given. Dapo was the first to go up for his rehearsals and he missed his lines to the displeasure of Uncle Ben. Pere did wonderfully well and so did Winner during their rehearsals.

Uncle Ben was particularly impressed with Winner’s rehearsal of Adele’s Hello and said a good vocal performance should leave the performer with a headache, just as Winner felt.

The second class begun with Ms. Ige who kicked off her class with rehearsals for the weekend. Elizabeth was first and she sang Tiwa Savage’s Standing Ovation. Okiemute went on to sing Phyno’s Fada Fada featuring Olamide with a somewhat soft touch to it. Kitay sang Kiss Daniel’s Mama and he was asked to do it in a rough manner. Ms. Ige told all the contestants to spend the rest of the day thinking of what they would love to add to their popular demand performances and also master their personal compositions.
