Momo Sissoko is confident of joining a Premier League side in the coming weeks, but he will not be joining West Brom, according to Sky Sports.
The former Liverpool, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder joined Albion on a week’s trial at the beginning of the month and started Albion’s 1-0 friendly win against Indian Super League side Delhi Dynamos during the international break.
After impressing, Sissoko’s trial was extended by seven days by Baggies boss Tony Pulis and the Mali international played 90 minutes for the club’s U23s in a 1-0 win over Brighton.
However, with summer signing Nacer Chadli seamlessly slotting into the first team, and James Morrison and Chris Brunt close to returning to full fitness, West Brom no longer have a pressing need to reinforce their midfield.
Despite this, the 31-year-old is understood to be keen to remain in the Premier League and is able to join a club as a free agent after spending a season playing under Sven Goran Eriksson at Shanghai Shenhua.
