John Obi Mikel believes David Luiz Has eradicated his mistakes in the two seasons he spent at PSG.
The Brazil defender re-signed for Chelsea on a deal worth £32m and could feature against Swansea. Mikel, who is returning from Rio, after winning bronze with Nigeria, could also return.
Mikel believes that Luiz has eradicated the errors out of his game since his time at PSG and will be a better player in his second spell at the club.
“One thing is for sure, he has definitely improved his game in Paris,” Mikel told Goal. “I think we will see a much better David Luiz. He is coming into the team to help the team.”
“He’s a great player, uses both feet. Great defender, I think he has gone to Paris Saint-Germain and improved his game quite a lot so I think maybe some of the pundits, last time he was here, they weren’t really in support of him.”
Mikel and Luiz struck up a friendship in the Brazilian’s first spell at the club and are two of only three Chelsea players left that were involved in the club’s first ever Champions League trophy, beating Bayern Munich in 2012.
