ICYMI: Wawrinka Wins US Open, Beats Djokovic

Stanislas Wawrinka won the US Open after beating a really tired Novak Djokovic on Sunday night.

The world number three beat the Serb 6-7 6-4 7-5 6-3 at the Flushing Meadows in New York. Winning his third Grand Slam.

This adds to Djokovic ‘s worries who lost in the Wimbledon to Sam Querrey and the Olympics to Juan Matin Del Portro.

With Djokovic’s legs no longer carrying the same spring, Wawrinka took the first three games of the fourth set.

The world No. 3 eventually put away his second championship point to add the US Open to previous wins at the 2014 Australian Open and the 2015 French Open.
