Henri Lansbury is hopeful of signing a new Nottingham Forest deal in the coming days.
The midfielder, who joined Forest in 2012, told the club website: “Talks are still ongoing with the chairman and Pedro Pereira (director of football) so hopefully that will be sorted soon.
“I’ve been here for four years now and I just want to concentrate on playing my football. I think you see that when I play my best stuff is when I’m fully focused.
“The plan is to extend my contract to an even longer deal. It’s nice that the chairman wants to keep me here so hopefully everyone can find some common ground and we can get the deal done. I wouldn’t want it to drag on too much longer than it has so far.
“It’s always flattering to have interest from other clubs and to be honest, that is all part and parcel of the game. But I’m happy, it feels like home here at Forest and I want to stay so, like I said, hopefully everything will be tied up soon.”
