Bill Cosby Due Back In Court For Sexual Assault Case

Actor Bill Cosby is scheduled to return to a Pennsylvania court. This comes two months after a judge rejected his bid to have his sexual assault charges dismissed.

The 79-year-old is accused of drugging and then assaulting Andrea Constand, a former basketball coach at Temple University, his alma mater at his home in 2004.

Cosby is facing similar allegations from about 60 women stretching back decades, but the Constand case is the only one to result in criminal charges. Mostly because the others are deemed too old for prosecution.

The star of the 1980’s hit TV series The Cosby Show who built a long career on family-friendly comedy. Cosby, 79, has denied assaulting anyone. He also says that sexual relations with all those women including Constand were consensual. The hearing is expected to focus on scheduling matters as a trial date has not yet been set. Cosby, who is free on $1m bail is facing 10 years in prison if he’s convicted.
