Attacker Reported Dead After Minnesota Mall Stabbing Spree

At least 8 people were injured after an armed suspect went on a stabbing spree at a shopping mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota on Saturday.

The attack took place at around 8 pm and the suspect of the stabbing is dead. St. Cloud police Sergeant Jason Burke in a statement also said, “The individual we believe to be responsible for the victims’ stab wounds is currently deceased inside the mall”.

He also added that all the victims have been taken to St. Cloud hospital for treatment. The suspect who is yet to be named was apprehended at a Macy’s store in the Crossroads mall after stabbing multiple people.

The suspect was however shot and killed by an off-duty police officer who was at the mall according to St. Cloud Police chief Blair Anderson.

Communications specialist at the Hospital, Chris Nelson was quoted as saying that eight people were brought in. Seven of them however had non-life threatening injuries.
