Watford have agreed a deal to sign Anderlecht striker Stefano Okaka, according to Sky Sports
Okaka, 27, is undergoing a medical for the Hornets, who are close to completing their ninth signing of the summer. The fee paid and the length of contract is currently not known.
Okaka will be a back-up to strikers Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo, with former Liverpool forward Jerome Sinclair and £12.5m signing Isaac Success also competing for first-team opportunities.
Okaka spent the first seven years of his professional career at Roma, and during that time had loan spells at Modena, Brescia, Fulham, Bari and Parma.
Okaka signed a permanent deal with Parma on August 20, 2012, but was loaned out the next day to Serie B club Spezia where he made 38 appearances.
The Italy international scored eight goals in 36 appearances during the 2014/15 season for Sampdoria before moving to Belgian club Anderlecht where, last season, he scored 15 goals in 35 matches.
If this deal gets completed Okaka will be the third Nigerian striker in the club. Okaka has Nigerian parents but was born in Italy he thereafter choose to play for the Italian national team.
