A well informed official also squealed that the vice president obtained a temporary certification from the District of Columbia to preside over the wedding ceremony, which was attended only by the grooms’ families.
The newly married, Mosteller, is a director of Oval Office operations for President Barack Obama, while Mahshie, is a trip coordinator for first lady Michelle Obama.
The ceremony took place at the vice president’s residence on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Observatory in Northwest Washington.
Biden’s wife, Jill, later tweeted: “Love is love!”
