West Brom manager Tony Pulis says striker Saido Berahino will not be sold until the club have signed a replacement striker.
Saido Berahino played alongside goalscorer Salomon Rondon in West Brom’s 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday and Pulis says the pair make an effective partnership.
Berahino has been subject to bids from Palace and Stoke City this summer but Pulis insists the 23-year-old will be staying with West Brom for now.
Tony Pulis said
“The two of them will be a good partnership this year, if we can keep him,We can’t sell Saido unless we get someone in. So if we get someone in, fine. But if we can’t then we’d be committing suicide if we let Saido go.”
When he was quizzed about how close West Brom are to signing a striker, Pulis said: “Not very close at the moment.”
