Each new week in the #ProjectFame9.0 academy presents new challenges for each and every one of the contestants. The contestants are expected to receive new songs which they will perform at the weekend gala nights and also elect a new captain for the academy.
The four contestants evicted from the academy Favour, Solomon, Blessing, and Benjamin said their goodbyes to the rest of the contestants with hugs, even as the other contestants who had obviously bonded with them felt sad at their exit.
The four evicted contestants were interviewed and they all talked about how much they’ve learnt and their hopes for the future. They went on to have fun at an eviction party which signalled the end of their journey in the Project fame west Africa.
The contestants still in the academy also got the new songs they are expected to memorise and master before the weekend.
The outgoing academy captain, Yusuph chose a somewhat unconventional way to elect a new academy captain. The game he chose was “dancing round the chair” which reignited childhood memories in all the contestants. The contestants had fun as they were eliminated one after the other from the game. Mirabel was the last woman standing and she emerged the academy captain for the week.
Uncle Ben walked into the academy looking dapper in a native attire. He announced that the contestants will be performing songs that their fans chose for them through the #FansDecide poll.
The songs from the #FansDecide poll majorly comprises Afro hip hop song and almost all the contestants appear pleased with the songs they got except for Dapo who seemed disappointed.
Uncle Ben also revealed the group song which the contestants will be performing over the weekend. Thereafter, he had a one on one interaction with Yusuph who talked about his anxiety and fears. Uncle Ben told him he has good stage presence but needs to let go of his fears.
Okiemute also talked to him about how her fellow contestants complained about her vocals and stage performance. Uncle Ben suggested she calls any of them aside for their opinions, instead of doing so publicly.
