Paul Pogba has finally returned to Old Trafford, with Manchester United completing his signing from Juventus.
The Frenchman joined Juventus from United in 2012 on a free transfer. And for a world record transfer fee, Mourinho has reacquired the midfielder.
The 23-year-old France international is now the most expensive player, overtaking the deal that saw Bale join Real Madrid in 2013 from Tottenham.
“Manchester United is delighted to announce that Paul Pogba has completed his transfer from Italian club Juventus,” the club wrote on their official website.
“Paul joins on a five-year contract, with the option to extend for a further year.”
The former Juventus man is expected to earn £104m pre-tax salary over five years, after completing his €110m move.
The transfer represents the latest arrival under Mourinho, with United having embarked on a major recruitment drive this summer having already acquired the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly.
