Members of the press were hosted to a private screening of the movie, 93 Days at Filmhouse Cinemas, Surulere on Thursday, 11th August 2016.
In attendance were the producers of the movie, Bolanle Austen-Peters, Dotun Olakunri including Sola Oyebade and Joseph Umoibom,Unit Production Manager and Line Producer respectively.
93 Days tells the compelling true life story of how Nigeria won the battle against the highly dreaded Ebola Virus in 2014. The movie gives a detailed account of the roles played by doctors at First Consultant Hospital, the Government and the WHO in containing the disease which was eradicated after 93 days.
Synopsis: Following the encounter with Late Patrick Sawyerr, medical practitioners at First Consultants Hospital in Lagos together with the late Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh took immediate measures to stop the spread of the disease not caring about putting their lives on the line to save the people of Nigeria.
After the period of 93 days, the country was declared free from the virus by World Health Organisation (WHO). As we celebrate this day in history, we remember the brave roles played by Dr Ameyo Adadevoh, her team and the Government who together saved the country from a national disaster.
Directed by Steve Gukas, the movie is set to show in Nigerian cinemas on September 16th 2016 and stars Hollywood actors, Danny Glover and Tim Reid including our very own Bimbo Akintola, Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey, Bimbo Manuel, Tina Mba, Gideon Okeke,Somkele Idhalama and many others.
