Novak Djokovic Reveals Personal Problems – Tennis great Novak Djokovic has revealed he was battling personal and private issues during the 2016 Wimbledon tournament.

Djokovic had entered the tournament as the favorite to win the Grand Slam, but had been surprisingly shocked by American Sam Querrey in the third round.

“I am in a position, like everybody else, like all of you, we all have private issues and things that are more challenges than issues. More things that we have to encounter and overcome in order to evolve as a human being”, Djokovic said as quoted by The Telegraph.

“That (Wimbledon) was a period for me. It happened right here. It was resolved and life is going on like everything else. It was some other injury I was going through privately and nothing linked to the wrist injury. Everything is fine. Life is going on,” Djokovic added.

His wrist injury has been a significant part though, as he also lost in the first round of the Rio 2016 Olympics, and is now dedicated to finding the best treatment.

“The wrist hasn’t been in an ideal state for the last three-and-a-half weeks, But I’m doing everything in my power with the medical team to make sure that I’m as close to 100 per cent as possible. I will try and compensate and improvise as much as I can and find the best ways of getting myself properly treated,” he explained.
