Liverpool recorded an easy 4-0 win in their International Champions Cup friendly match against Barcelona.

New signing Saido Mane opened the scoring in the 1st half for the Reds, and second half goals from Divock Origi, Marko Grujic and a Javier Mascherano own goal ensured Liverpool’s 6th win in 8 pre-season games.

“I’m happy with the result and with a lot of the game,” Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said after the victory at Wembley.

He added: “I don’t want to over-estimate this game, but it’s still good for us. We didn’t think that we were lower than Barcelona before the game and we don’t think that we’re higher than them after the game.”

Liverpool have one more friendly fixture against Mainz before they kick off their Premier League campaign against Arsenal on Saturday.

Barcelona’s defeat also means PSG are now the winners of the International Champions Cup friendly tournament for the second year running.
