Manchester United striker James Wilson has been given the all-clear to leave Old Trafford on loan by boss Jose Mourinho.
He spent last season in the second tier at Brighton, scoring five goals in 28 games as the Seagulls narrowly missed out on promotion.
Wilson would have been hoping to break into United’s first-team following his return from the south coast.
But the emergence of Marcus Rashford and signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic has meant he’s not in Mourinho’s plans.
Wilson burst onto the scene under Ryan Giggs’ temporary spell in charge and he also played under Louis van Gaal during the Dutchman’s first season in charge.
The 20-year-old has four years left on his contract – and will be hoping to impress club staff during his second stint in the Championship.
