Jeff Schlupp Unhappy At Leicester City As The Club Continues To Block His Transfer To West Brom

Leicester winger Jeff Schlupp is “deeply unhappy” at his club’s refusal to allow him to talk to West Brom, who have seen two bids for the player – the latest worth £12million – rejected by the Premier League champions.

The 23-year-old was told recently by manager Claudio Ranieri that he could not guarantee him first team football, and that he would be better off looking for a new club if he wanted to play regularly.

Leicester seemed ready to negotiate with West Brom when they made their latest bid last Friday. Schlupp was even removed from the matchday squad for Saturday’s Premier League opener at Hull with expectation that the deal would go through on Monday.

It appears now that Leicester have taken a different view by turning down West Brom’s offer and insisting that Schlupp sees out the remaining three years of his contract.

The Ghana international has been at Leicester since signing youth forms in 2005. He featured in 23 games for the club last season.
