Emmanuel Adebayor is in Togo on international duty but his representatives are in discussions with Fulham.
Adebayor is a free agent after leaving Crystal Palace and is poised to sign a one-year deal. Fulham are confident a deal will be reached.
Fulham are second in the Championship and manager Slavisa Jokanovic hopes the 32-year-old can help get the club back into the Premier League.
Adebayor was earning £100,000-per-week last season and would likely have to agree to a significant pay-cut at Fulham, who sold top scorer Ross McCormack to Aston Villa for £14million just days before the start of the season.
As he’s a free agent he doesn’t have to sign a deal today.
