Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi has arrived at Stoke to undergo a medical ahead of a loan move
Bruno Martins Indi has been deemed surplus to requirements at the Portuguese club and Stoke will have an option to sign him on a permanent basis after his loan is completed.
Martins Indi’s move to Stoke is likely to lead to Philipp Wollscheid completing a move to Wolfsburg.
Martins Indi has 31 international caps for Holland and was a key figure in the team which reached the World Cup semi-finals under Louis van Gaal in 2014.
Martins Indi has consistently been linked with a switch to the Premier League and now he stands on the brink of making the move; he has also been linked with Inter this summer.
The Dutchman is currently under contract with Portuguese giants FC Porto, the club he joined from Feyenoord in 2014 for a fee of just €7.7m.
Martins Indi is a product of Feyenoord’s esteemed youth system and has won 31 caps at senior international level for the Netherlands.
