Bayern Munich have rejected a €65m bid from Real Madrid for David Alaba, reports AS.
Alaba, the Austria international, has been Real’s main transfer target this summer.
They raised their offer to €65m last month, after failing with an initial bid of €50m, although they did not receive a response until Friday.
However, on Friday, Bayern president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge called Alaba’s representative to inform him that Real’s €65m offer had been rejected and that the versatile defender will not be allowed to move to the Bernabeu this summer.
Alaba, 24, does not want to force his way out of Bayern, while the Bundesliga giants have insisted that it would take a fee of €80m to lure him away from the Allianz Arena.
