Claudio Bravo will not leave Barcelona before their first league game of the season, according to the club’s sporting director Robert Fernandez.
Bravo is reportedly closing in on a £17m move to Manchester City, but Barca plan to field him against Real Betis in their opening La Liga fixture on Saturday with Marc-Andre ter Stegen currently out injured.
When asked about Bravo on TV3, Fernandez said: “A lot has been said but I can only say that Claudio Bravo will be with us on Saturday.
“After that, we will see. If in the end Bravo goes, another goalkeeper will have to come in first.”
